Pizza Evenings Return to the Terrace at Force

There are few better ways to end a day in the fells than with great food, good company, and a drink in the sunshine. That’s why we’re excited to announce that our pizza evenings are returning to Force from Friday 27th March, running every Friday and Saturday evening right through to September.

Set just above Ambleside and only moments from the beautiful Stock Ghyll Force waterfall, Force Café & Terrace has become a favourite spot for walkers, locals, and visitors looking to refuel and relax in the heart of the Lake District.

And when the evenings get lighter and warmer, the terrace comes into its own.

Wood-Fired Pizza on the Terrace

Our hand-stretched pizzas are cooked fresh in our outdoor pizza oven, served hot and full of flavour while you enjoy the evening air on the terrace. It’s a relaxed, laid-back way to spend an evening with friends or family — especially after a day exploring the surrounding fells.

Whether you’ve been hiking up Wansfell, wandering through Ambleside, or visiting the nearby waterfall, there’s nothing better than sitting back with a pizza and a drink as the sun begins to set over the hills.

Pizza nights at Force have quickly become a weekend tradition, combining great food, mountain views, and a friendly atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding after a busy day outdoors.

The Perfect End to a Day in the Lakes

One of the things we love most about Force is the people who visit us. Walkers finishing a long day on the fells, families exploring Ambleside, cyclists stopping in after a ride, and locals catching up with friends.

Located just a short walk from Ambleside town centre and surrounded by some of the Lake District’s most beautiful walking routes, the café is a welcoming place to refuel, relax and reconnect after a day outdoors.

And of course, dogs are always welcome too.

When Are Pizza Nights?

Our Pizza & Terrace evenings run every Friday and Saturday from Friday 27th March until September.

If the Lake District sunshine is on our side, we’ll be serving outside on the terrace. If the weather decides not to cooperate (as it sometimes does), we’ll keep things cosy indoors.
