Force Wins ‘Best Casual Dining Experience’ at the Cumbria Life Awards 🏆

We’re still smiling from a brilliant night at the Cumbria Life Awards, where we were absolutely thrilled to take home the award for Best Casual Dining Experience! 

It’s a huge honour for Force, but for us, this award represents so much more than a trophy. It’s a celebration of the people, passion and values that sit at the heart of everything we do.

Putting our customers first. 

At Force, we believe great food is only part of what makes a great dining experience.

From the moment our customers walk through the door, we want them to feel welcomed, looked after and genuinely valued. Customer service is a huge focus for our team, and we’re constantly looking at how we can make every visit feel special — whether it’s a morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, a catch-up with friends or a celebration.

It’s the little things that matter: a warm welcome, knowledgeable and friendly service, attention to detail and making sure our guests leave having had an experience they’ll want to repeat.

Celebrating the best of local produce. 

We’re also incredibly passionate about championing local produce and the amazing suppliers we have on our doorstep.

Wherever possible, we love showcasing the quality and variety of ingredients available across Cumbria and the wider region. Working with local producers not only helps us create fantastic dishes, but allows us to support other businesses, celebrate the area we’re proud to be part of and bring a real sense of place to the Force experience.

For us, it’s about knowing where our ingredients come from, building great relationships with our suppliers and giving local produce the platform it deserves.

A team effort. 

In the photo, our Café Manager Clare is proudly sandwiched between Head Chef Dex and Chef Thomas, representing the brilliant team behind Force.

While only three of us could make it into the photo, this award belongs to every single member of the Force team.

From the kitchen to front of house, behind the scenes and everything in between, it takes a huge amount of teamwork to deliver the standards we strive for every day.

Their commitment, creativity, energy and care are what make Force what it is — and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
