Running for Life: What all Fell Runners should know
Monday 16th February - 6.30 - 8.30pm (doors open 6pm)
An educational and interactive evening with highly experienced Sports Dieticians, Coaches and Elite athletes.
Many of us runners want to maximise our performance, but do we really understand how to look after our bodies and give ourselves the best chance of doing this? This special evening aims to provide you with information on the importance of fuelling, how to train appropriately, look after your body, and also become aware of potential risks that can quite literally stop you in your tracks. Elite athletes will share their own experiences of REDS (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) and also some of the pressures that come with competing at a higher level. The evening will include a short presentation followed by a Q&A panel discussion allowing for audience participation; there will also be time for socialising both before and after.
Panel: Renee McGregor (Sports Dietician), Gavin Dale, Nichola Jackson (Elite athletes), Paul Tierney & Sarah McCormack (Coaches & Elite athletes)
Tickets £3 (all receipts donated to Fell-running Junior development)
Doors open 6pm. Talk from 6.30pm - 8.30pm
